This equates to over a thousand hours a year in savings\, providing a benefit to Food & Friends of over $31\,000 a year. As a result of this collaboration\, the in-kind savings to Food & Friends has greatly assisted the senior meals program to provide over 10\,000 meals annually to Eagle Point citizens. This partnership helps ensure approximately 250 seniors each year are able to enjoy multiple hot\, nutritious lunches each year with the company of their friends\, and to discover all the Senior Center has to offer. Additionally\, as a result of the use of our kitchen and cafeteria space\, Food & Friends is able to provide 50-60 homebound seniors a year a hot\, nutritious lunch each weekday and a vital safety check delivered right to their home. For many of these folks\, this is their only full meal of the day. The volunteer who delivers it may be the only person they see that day.
