DESCRIPTION:The Southern Oregon Historical Society Research Library is pleased to announce that\n\n\n\nWilliam (Bill) Miller - Journalist\, Author and Historian   will be at the library\, June 23\, 2pm-\n\n4pm\, to personally sign his newest book\, "History Snoopin': True Tales of Oregon & Northern\n\n\n\nCalifornia." This book is a collection of stories about people who once lived among us\, tales\n\nabout "pioneers\, railroad engineers\, fearless aviators\, unconquerable women\, battle-hardened\n\nvets\, and one foulmouthed cockatoo!"\n\nBill is no stranger to the Research Library\, he worked in the library as a staff member\; he\n\nhas been a Windows in Time guest speaker\; and he has made several presentations throughout\n\nthe valley. Following a "long vacation of sorts\," Bill has resumed his weekly history column\n\n\n\nwith the Mail Tribune. Go to http://mailtribune.com/opinion/columns/book-tour-restored-faith-in-america to learn from Bill in his own words what he's been doing during his hiatus\, and a little about Ely\, the first person to land and then take off in an airplane from a ship!\n\n\n\nThe Research Library is open Tuesday through Saturday\, 12pm-4pm.
