SUMMARY:SOHS Heritage Plant Sale
DESCRIPTION:SOHS Volunteers have potted over 70 varieties of plants for this sale\, most of which are from Hanley Farm.\n\nThere will be perennials and specialties like iris\, both minis and some named varieties\; lilacs\, one of the first plants put in by Martha Hanley in the 1860s\; and peonies\, just like Grandma had in her garden! Other native plants include thimbleberry and snow-berry bushes. And look for drought tolerant plants\, February bloomers\, plus a few said to be deer resistant!\n\nBack again are heirloom tomato and pepper seedlings from Terri Steinhorst. A big thank you to her and the other volunteers who pot and raise plants for the sale.\n\nPLUS\, there will be a special raffle prize\, a scavenger hunt\, new interpretive signs\, and an exhibit of Hanley women and their contribution to the beautiful Hanley Farm Living History Museum landscape!\n\nIf you have questions\, or would like to volunteer to help with the sale\, please contact Alice Mullaly at lmullaly@jeffnet.org.
