DESCRIPTION:Join fashion historian\, Cassidy Hausmann-Mason\, as she explores the Victorian world of fashion from the "underpinnings" out\, highlighting the ways societal norms\, class differentials\, self-expression\, the Industrial Revolution\, and even the invention of the bicycle impacted how 19th Century ladies dressed.\n\nCassidy has six years of historical tailoring experience and over a decade of antique collecting under her belt. She is excited to share her wealth of knowledge and help your\, her audience\, look past the myths\, biases\, and preconceptions that so often color the discussions of the 19th century woman's wardrobe.\n\nWindows in Time is a joint project of the Southern Oregon Historical Society and Jackson County Library Services. The March 6th Medford Library talk is accessible both in person and via Zoom (with registration). The March 13th Ashland Library talk is in person only. (No registration required.)
