ALICE Training (for Active Shooter Response)
ALICE Training – Hosted by Central Point Police Department
Over the last couple years we have received inquiries from citizens asking how to respond if an active shooter situation occurred and they were in the area or involved. These tragedies are not limited to schools and can occur in theaters, workplaces and at private/public events and we want to help protect you and your families. The Central Point Police Department will be hosting ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) training from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the listed dates. ALICE is a set of proactive, options-based strategies, that increase your chances of survival during a violent intruder or Active Shooter event. For over 16 years, the ALICE Training Institute has provided violent intruder response training to individuals and organizations across the nation including the Central Point Police Department. This training course is designed to teach law enforcement as well as school, church, hospital, workplace administrators, and employees’ skills and strategies that bridge the gap between the time a violent event begins and law enforcement arrives. This training is free of charge to our Community but space is limited for each session.
