Farm Flow: Veterans Yoga Retreat
Sanctuary One, in partnership with Rasa Yoga Center, is pleased to host FARM FLOW, a unique yoga retreat event at our farm. With over 55 acres in Oregon’s beautiful Applegate Valley, Sanctuary One provides a safe place for animals and a healing place for people while promoting environmental stewardship. During the four-hour retreat, teachers from Rasa Center for Yoga & Wellness will lead you through a gentle flow yoga class followed by guided meditation with the intention to deepen your connection to nature. Yoga on the beautiful grounds of Sanctuary One is the perfect channel to offer our gratitude to earth and all its creatures, while recommitting our stewardship to the earth which sustains us all.
Instructor Caitlin Dunnington is a firm believer in the importance of the mind body connection. After completing a six-year enlistment in the Air Force working as a mental health technician, she saw firsthand how disruptive it can be when that connection is broken. She believes the physical practice of yoga asana is a powerful, moving meditation that can rekindle, or even help to discover that connection.
Our special Farm Flow: Veterans Yoga Retreat will offer strong, logical, purposeful sequencing, and will ask you to engage in conversation with yourself and your body. You will be asked to find your edges, and possibly make some new ones, while allowing yourself to reconnect the mind and body through breath and movement. Sanctuary One is a place of hope and healing, and offers the opportunity for people to connect with earth and animals and themselves.
This veterans-only session is offered to veterans for free by the generous sponsors, Wendy Seldon, Ashland Family Dentistry, and Supportive Services for Veterans Families at Access.
