Freedom Festival Parade
Central Point, OR – Fireworks, family, fellowship, friends and food enjoyed with live music— these are just some of the ways we are celebrating the birth of this sweet land of liberty.
In Central Point, the Fourth of July is more than a parade or festival. It’s a gathering of people celebrating our independence through a variety of activities. The day begins at 7:00 a.m, with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Boy Scouts Crater Lake Council at the Grange Hall, followed by a 5 k and fun run sponsored by Grange Co Op, Anytime Fitness & the City of Central Point Parks and Recreation. The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. with an F-15 flyover as the Grand Marshal, David Douglass of Anytime Fitness, presides over the festivities. The 140 member Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corp from Denver Colorado will kick off the parade with over 80 entries from floats, bands, car clubs, equestrian entrants and other visual treats. Immediately after the parade (10:30), the Festival in Pfaff Park includes FREE kids activities from an obstacle course, to face painting, gunny sack races, and pie eating competitions. Frankie Hernandez will be live on stage as The Point Pub and Grill featuring Walkabout Brewing entertains in the beer garden. Don’t miss the Buttercloud Food truck and nearly 60 vendors as they serve specialty foods, sell artisan items and keepsakes. The evening ends with the Medford Chamber’s RED, WHITE & BOOM fireworks display at the Jackson County Expo! Spend the day with us and be sure to wear your most patriotic attire! This event is hosted by the Central Point Chamber and graciously sponsored by the City of Central Point, Grange Co-op, Bi-Mart, and Rogue Credit Union.
Happy birthday, America the Beautiful!
