Wreath Making at Hanley Farm
Wreath Making at Hanley Farm
The wreath has been a cultural decoration throughout history, and for many it has been a symbol of “. . .eternity, an unending circle of life, growth, and everlasting life.” Today, we traditionally place Holiday Wreaths on our front doors, as a welcome to friends and relatives and an invitation to join in your holiday festivities.
November 28 from 11am to 3pm, you are invited to make your wreath at Hanley Farm. You can purchase a wreath-making kit and assemble your wreath at the farm, or purchase a kit and make it at home. Kits contain all you need to make a beautiful wreath – a base of grapevines or fruitwood, greens, cones, berries and wire; for that “extra touch,” bring your own ribbons, ornaments, and trimmings. Wreath-making kits are $10 for SOHS Members, and $15 for non-Members.
If you choose to make your wreath at Hanley, for your safety and the safety of others, you’re asked to observe the protocols of social distancing and wearing a mask. You will be escorted to a sanitized table where your kit will be waiting for you, and when you’ve completed your wreath, your table and clippers will be sanitized for the next group.
You’ve never made a wreath before? Don’t worry! Volunteers will be available to assist you. We’ll see you on the 28th!
