Meet the Author! “History Snoopin’,” by William M. Miller
The Southern Oregon Historical Society Research Library is pleased to announce that
William (Bill) Miller - Journalist, Author and Historian – will be at the library, June 23, 2pm-
4pm, to personally sign his newest book, “History Snoopin’: True Tales of Oregon & Northern
California.” This book is a collection of stories about people who once lived among us, tales
about “pioneers, railroad engineers, fearless aviators, unconquerable women, battle-hardened
vets, and one foulmouthed cockatoo!”
Bill is no stranger to the Research Library, he worked in the library as a staff member; he
has been a Windows in Time guest speaker; and he has made several presentations throughout
the valley. Following a “long vacation of sorts,” Bill has resumed his weekly history column
with the Mail Tribune. Go to http://mailtribune.com/opinion/columns/book-tour-restored-faith-in-america to learn from Bill in his own words what he’s been doing during his hiatus, and a little about Ely, the first person to land and then take off in an airplane from a ship!
The Research Library is open Tuesday through Saturday, 12pm-4pm. Saturday, June 23,
Bill will be signing books 2pm-4pm. In addition to “History Snoopin’,” several other SOHS books will be on sale! SOHS Research Library, 106 N. Central Avenue, Medford.
